Welcome to Widefield School District 3. It has been my privilege to live and work here for the past 35 years.
You will soon find that our school district is an extension of a larger community committed to its people. Spend time at the Widefield Community Education and Recreation Center; walk in our school district/community parade, held each autumn; and visit our local businesses. You will appreciate the small-town feeling in a growing suburban area. The staff of Widefield School District is committed to maximizing the learning of each and every child. The district prides itself in providing multiple and varied curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for its students. Because of its proximity to Fort Carson, there are many military families in Widefield District 3. Here is a special note to military families:
Located southeast of the City of Colorado Springs and contiguous to Fort Carson, Widefield School District 3 is proud of its 133-year history of providing a world-class education for students. Approximately 52,000 people live in the district’s 59 square miles.
